2024 Speakers

A native son of the diocese, the Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera was appointed Scranton’s tenth bishop on February 23, 2010. Prior to his ordination as bishop, Bishop Bambera served numerous Diocesan positions as well as pastorates at Holy Name of Jesus, Scranton, Saint John Bosco, Conyngham, Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dickson City, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Archbald, and Saint Mary of Czestochowa, Eynon. Bishop Bambera currently serves as the Catholic Co-Chair of the International Catholic / Pentecostal Dialogue of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. He is chairman of the Committee for Ecumenism and Interreligious Affairs at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers has appeared as a guest on numerous international Catholic programs and is the host or co-host of several popular series on EWTN. He is a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars and the Confraternity of Catholic Clergy. He is the award-winning author of five books, including Behold the Man: A Catholic Vision of Male Spirituality.

John Edwards is the founder and executive director of Pew Ministries, a Catholic apostolate with the mission of bringing the person of Jesus Christ to the person in the pew. John is a Catholic speaker and evangelist that has spoken in Canada and across the United States and has been featured on Catholic media such as Pints with Aquinas, The Catholic Talk Show, The Chris Stefanick Show, and EWTN’s Life on the Rock. John is the host of the popular podcast Just A Guy in the Pew and currently travels the country giving his Restored Parish Missions and training men to start life changing men’s groups. He is also a team member of the JPII Healing Center, an apostolate dedicated to healing the whole person founded by Dr Bob Schuchts. John’s greatest blessing is being the husband to Angela and the father to Jacob, Allison, and Katelyn. He and his family live in Memphis, TN

Father Bill Casey is a nationally renowned speaker and a frequent guest on EWTN. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and then he was ordained a priest in the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy. Father has a love for the study of Sacred Scripture, and a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
 

Come Follow Me

The Conference will take place on Saturday, October 5th, at Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes Barre. The conference begins with a light breakfast at 7am and concludes at 3pm, after Mass offered by Bishop Joseph Bambera. Our council will be car-pooling from St. Patrick’s leaving at 5:30am.
