Program Spotlight – September
Free Throw Championship
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is a great opportunity for our council to create a fun experience that encourages the virtues of sportsmanship and athleticism. The program would involve children between the ages of 9 and 14, both boys and girls, competing in a free throw contest. The youth will be scored and the winners will be awarded certificates. The winners of the 10 different sections will then go to district, and eventually state. This program is a great way for our council to encourage youth to stay active in their parish and show them that their church family can have fun too.
Our council’s community director Joseph Dooley and committee chairman Nathaniel White are looking forward to making this first time program for us a great success. If you’re interested in volunteering or participating please reach out to Joe or Nathaniel for more information.
