Knights of Columbus Brothers Attend LifeFest and National March for Life

On January 23rd and 24th, Brother Knights Tony Perito and Noah Edwards represented the John Paul II Council 13935 at LifeFest and the National March for Life in Washington, DC. Their journey underscored the Knights of Columbus’ steadfast commitment to defending the dignity of human life from conception to natural death.

Day 1: LifeFest and Preparation

Brother Tony and Noah began their pilgrimage early Thursday morning, traveling from Milford, PA, to Washington, DC. In the afternoon, they attended volunteer training at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA, in preparation for LifeFest, a Catholic rally that celebrates life with Mass, Adoration, and inspiring testimonies.

LifeFest provided an opportunity to connect with thousands of other pro-life advocates and receive spiritual nourishment. “It was amazing to see so many people—especially the youth—on fire for life,” shared Tony.

Day 2: March for Life

On Friday, the brothers began their day by volunteering near the Smithsonian, handing out Knights of Columbus signs to marchers. The iconic green-and-white signs reading “Love Life, Choose Life” were a powerful witness to the pro-life movement, seen by countless attendees and onlookers.

The March for Life itself began at 1 PM, with tens of thousands of pro-life advocates walking together from the National Mall to the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Tony and Noah were proud to carry the Knights of Columbus banner, a symbol of our Order’s dedication to protecting life.

“The energy was incredible,” said Noah. “You could feel the hope and determination in the crowd. It was an honor to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves.”

Continuing the Mission

The trip reaffirmed the Knights of Columbus’ role as leaders in the pro-life movement. By attending LifeFest and the March for Life, Brothers Tony and Noah demonstrated the values of charity, unity, and fraternity that define our Order.

As we move forward, let us be inspired by their example to continue building a culture of life in our own community. Whether through prayer, advocacy, or support for local organizations like the Tri-State Family and Pregnancy Center, we can all play a role in defending the sanctity of life.
