New Year, New Opportunities to Serve: Embracing the Knights of Columbus Mission in 2025

As we embark on 2025, John Paul II Council 13935 invites all Knights and their families to renew their commitment to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. The New Year brings fresh opportunities to deepen our faith, serve our parish and community, and live out the mission of the Knights of Columbus with renewed vigor. From supporting St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s parish ministries to organizing community events, our council continues to be a vital force for good in Milford and Matamoras. This year, we challenge ourselves to expand our impact by embracing innovative programs and fostering a deeper connection with those in need.

One of our key focuses for 2025 will be enhancing community outreach. Whether through the Keep Christ in Christmas program, the Cor initiative, or the on-going Food for Families monthly dinner, there are countless ways for members to make a tangible difference. Additionally, we are excited to introduce new initiatives, including a fish fry during Lent, the Coats for Kids program, and a greater emphasis on spiritual growth for men; and expanding our council’s online presence with fresh content on KofC13935.org. These efforts will not only strengthen our council’s visibility but also inspire others to join us in living out the Gospel call to service and fraternity.

This year also offers an opportunity for every brother Knight to grow personally in faith and leadership. As we gather for our monthly meetings, socials, and faith-filled events, let us remember that the heart of our mission lies in supporting each other as men of God, Sons in the Son. Let us look to the example of our patron, St. John Paul II, who taught us to “Be not afraid” as we embrace the challenges and blessings of the year ahead. Together, we can make 2025 a year of transformative service, spiritual growth, and brotherly love, building a legacy of faith that will inspire future generations of Knights.
