Faith in Action: Spotlight on the Food for Families Program

In our mission to serve the less fortunate, the Knights of Columbus Food for Families Program stands as a powerful example of charity in action. Rooted in the Gospel call to feed the hungry, this initiative provides essential support to families and individuals who are struggling to put food on the table. By partnering with local food banks, pantries, and community kitchens, councils across the nation contribute to combating food insecurity in their communities. For many, this program represents not only a lifeline of physical nourishment but also a profound reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved.

The impact of the Food for Families Program is evident in its tangible results. In addition to delivering meals and groceries to those in need, it fosters a sense of unity and purpose among council members. The work is a reflection of our shared commitment to living out our faith through service. Council 13935 has taken this mission to heart by incorporating Food for Families into our Greater Milford Social Club monthly dinners. By providing wholesome meals to seniors and low-income families, we are meeting immediate needs while building lasting relationships within our parish and community.

We invite all council members and parishioners to get involved and make a difference. Whether through donations, volunteering at food distribution events, or spreading the word about this vital program, your participation is critical to its success. Together, we can extend the love of Christ to our neighbors in need and fulfill our duty as Knights to strengthen our families and communities. Let us continue to put our faith into action and ensure that no one goes hungry in our midst.
